We do not offer direct support to individuals subjected to domestic abuse. There are several agencies that offer support and assistance in the Leicestershire area.
What we do is provide short-term accommodation to individuals fleeing from domestic violence.
We do this by working with local agencies. We provide the property, and the local agencies look after the logistics and administration to house individuals in our property.
Domestic abuse is an incident or pattern of incidents of controlling, bullying, threatening or violent behaviour, by a partner, ex-partner, or family member. But it isn’t just physical violence – domestic abuse includes emotional, physical, sexual, economic, and psychological abuse. Abusive behaviour can happen in any relationship and it can continue even after the relationship has ended.
Domestic violence, also called domestic abuse, includes physical, emotional, and sexual abuse in couple relationships or between family members.
